Boston's Inaugural Ceviche Day Unites Communities,
Celebrates UNESCO-Honored Peruvian Heritage,
and Supports Local Students
Boston, MA – June 18, 2025

Perú in Boston, with the support of Marca Perú, proudly announces the first-ever Ceviche Day in Boston, taking place Thursday, June 26th, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Lounge Terrace at Surf Seafood Restaurant in Woburn, MA.

 

Ceviche Day is more than a food event, it’s a celebration of unity, culture, and giving back. Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, ceviche is a symbol of Peru’s rich culinary tradition. This inaugural event will bring together Bostonians and the broader community to honor this dish and the heritage it represents.

• Live cooking demonstrations by masters chefs:

  • Jorge Beteta (Osaka, Peru)

  • Rodrigo Baranao (Casa Espoz, Chile)

  • Allan Rodrigues (Boston chef and entrepreneur)

  • Jose Duarte (sustainable cuisine advocate)

  • Jose Davila (Surf Seafood, Woburn)

  • Walter Romero (Founder of Perú in Boston)

• Tasting of authentic ceviche varieties and a welcome cocktail with Peruvian pisco

• Live music, traditional cultural performances, and networking with local business leaders

 

Social Impact:

10% of all proceeds will provide scholarships for minority high school seniors in Boston, helping them pursue higher education and create a brighter future.
